Liminal Encounters: A Concert of Rohingya Tarana Songs

This concert forms part of a 2-day symposium (Jan 23-24) entitled “Liminal Encounters: Counternarratives of Rohingya Refugees.” It is primarily organized by students and faculty at the University of Chicago in collaboration with the Rohingya Cultural Center of Chicago. It is cosponsored by the UChicago Committee on Southern Asian Studies, Crossing Borders Music, Franke Institute for the Humanities, International Balzan Foundation, the UChicago Department of Music, and the UChicago Department of Race, Diaspora, and Indigeneity.
