Open Rehearsals: Haitian Music Program

Monday, May 4, 2026 at 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for a set of open rehearsals as we prepare for our upcoming Haitian Flag Day performances next month!

Crossing Borders Music string quartet will be rehearsing our Haitian music program at Bridgeport Music Collective, a community space founded in 2024 in the heart of Bridgeport, Chicago that provides Violin, Viola, Cello, piano and voice lessons as well as live performance events. These rehearsals are free and open to the public, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how our programs come together before they reach the stage.

We’re also excited to share that Dan Galat, one of the founders of Bridgeport Music Collective, will be joining us for our Haitian Flag Day performances at the Harold Washington Library and in New York City, while one of our string quartet members is away. Come listen in, learn more about the music, and experience the rehearsal process with us!
