Zombie: Origins and Evolution Project

Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

free and open to the public

This event will feature the complete, world premiere performances of music commissioned from Jean “Rudy” Perrault and Sabrina C. D. Jean Louis for the ZOE (Zombie: Origins and Evolution) project.
The ZOE project is an international event in Chicago and Haiti in which artists, musicians and dancers collectively work on a series of exhibitions and a feature documentary that examines the origins of the zombie and it’s evolution into a modern day pop culture icon. The ZOE project attempts to understand the symbolism, facts and the cultural significance of zombies. The ZOE project is, in part, supported by a generous grant from The Chicago Community Trust.

This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
