Summer Youth Composers Program

Get paid to write music! Apply here by May 31.
With support from the Illinois Arts Council, Crossing Borders Music will hire 4 teenage musicians for a summer composing program. If selected, you will receive free weekly 30-minute music composition lessons with composer Jessica T. Carter. You will be expected to work independently 5 hours a week learning how to write and writing your piece of music for the Crossing Borders Music string quartet. The program starts June 15 and ends Saturday, Sept. 16 with a live performance of your music in Garfield Park.
